The Khathorus Shop Owners Association and Gauteng Department of Economic Development intermediary, Family Tree Holdings, have released a joint statement rubbishing allegations leveled against the two entities by spaza shop owners in Kahlehong, east of Johannesburg. Earlier this week, Update@Noon spoke to Build One South Africa leader, Mmusi Maimane and Kahlehong Shop owner, Neo Motaung, who accused Family Tree Holdings of colluding with the Khathorus Shop Owners Association in order to short-chage local spaza shop owners meant to be assisted by the R100 million Kasi Mnotho Fund initiative.
