The International Monetary Fund has raised the red flag on the country's economic growth prospects despite Stats SA's announcement of a marginal economic growth of 0.4 percent in the first quarter . The IMF warns the country faces mounting and social challenges as government's finances are likely to get worse in the medium term due to ongoing challenges at Eskom, lower tax revenue and higher borrowing costs amongst many other issues.
