A hung council has once again emerged following yesterday's municipal-wide by-elections at the Thabazimbi Local Municipality, in Limpopo. The Electoral Commission of South Africa results portal has revealed that none of the contesting political parties and independent candidates garnered sufficient votes to govern on their own. Miners who are still underground at a Stilfontein Mine in North West have reportedly resorted to cannibalism to stay alive. This according to a chilling letter that surfaced on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, a child went missing while swimming with friends near the N2 Freeway, Swartkops River Bridge. Despite a swift response from emergency services, the child's body was recovered, and sadly, they were pronounced deceased. In a separate incident, a 53-year-old fisherman was found deceased on rocks along the shoreline at Seaview, Gqeberha.
