Chairperson Mmamoloko Kubayi says authorities are improving refugee processing, biometric screening and the speed of asylum applications. Kubayi says Government is also considering legal options to manage the judgment's implementation.

Government strengthens response to asylum judgment 

Rand Water says high water consumption by some municipalities is placing severe pressure on the supply system. It has repeatedly urged customers to reduce usage and help stabilise supplies.  The water utility warns that municipalities exceeding their allocated water volumes may face supply restrictions. This could result in low water pressure or intermittent water supply in affected areas. Rand Water spokesperson is Makenosi Maroo
