Former president Thabo Mbeki has paid homage to veteran struggle activist Sally Motlana, describing her as a true patriotic and pillar of strength for many during the fight for liberation. Mbeki was speaking during the funeral service of the late Motlana which is being held at the All Saints Anglican Church in Sandton, north of Johannesburg. Motlana died at the age of 96 last month and was instrumental in the South African Council of Churches' adoption of a public stand against apartheid.
