Five suspects arrested in a multi-million rand drug bust on a farm in Musina, Limpopo last month have abandoned bail at the Musina magistrate's court. The suspects were arrested during a police operation. They including two Mexican nationals, two Zimbabwean nationals and a Malawian national. The five foreign nationals, aged between 20 and 47, include Mariano Barraza and Joan Castillo from Mexico and three Zimbabwean nationals, Tichaona Nyamukanga, Tanaka Nyamukanga and Lee Mubayi. Their defense lawyer Attorney Wiets Beukes informed the court that they will inform the court about a possible bail application at a later stage. Beukes told the court that they are not ready to proceed as a Spanish interpreter is not available.
