The Democratic Alliance has announced its list of candidates for parliament ahead of the much anticipated 2024 general elections. The party says the candidates have successfully completed what it calls a rigorous 10-month process, which has led to those handpicked to represent the official opposition in parliament and legislatures across the the country. In announcing the candidates, DA leader, John Steenhuizen reiterated that contrary to some media report, he has also successfully completed the same 10-month process. Among the candidates unveiled by the DA are Kabelo Mogatosi, the former MMC for Roads in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro; Mark Burke, who holds a PhD in Econometrics from Cambridge and Khathutshelo Rasilingwane, who is the Deputy Chief Whip of the DA in Ekurhuleni.
