In announcing the candidates, DA leader, John Steenhuizen reiterated that contrary to some media report, he has also successfully completed the same 10-month process. Among the candidates unveiled by the DA are Kabelo Mogatosi, the former MMC for Roads in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro; Mark Burke, who holds a PhD in Econometrics from Cambridge and Khathutshelo Rasilingwane, who is the Deputy Chief Whip of the DA in Ekurhuleni.
