Defence in the Senzo Meyiwa trial seeks clarity from the Legal Aid Board on costs relating to independent ballistics expert, Dave Pieterse

The trial of five men accused of the 2014 murder of soccer player, Senzo Meyiwa, was delayed this morning as the defence sought clarity from the Legal Aid Board, on costs for services provided by independent ballistics expert, Dave Pieterse. Ballistic expert, Colonel Chris Mangena was initially expected to return to the witness stand today, following cross examination by the defence, where he was accused of having removed evidence from the crime scene on the night of the murder.
