Defence in Senzo Meyiwa murder trial claims alleged confessions by two accused were not obtained voluntarily

View descriptionShare

The defence counsel in the Senzo Meyiwa trial has once again told the High Court in Pretoria that none of the alleged confessions by two of the five men accused in the soccer star's murder, were obtained voluntarily. Sipho Ramosepele was making his closing submissions on evidence led in the trial within the trial where five men are accused of gunning down the Bafana Bafana player in Johannesburg in October 2014. The defence is challenging the admissibility of the alleged confessions by Muzi Sibiya and Bongani Ntanzi. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SABC reporter, Pearl Magubane.
