Professor Barney Pityana has informed Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Parks Tau of his decision to resign as Board Chair of National Lotteries Commission (NLC). This after helping to stabilize the corruption-hit organization, he leaves with two years of his five-year term remaining. The National Lotteries Commission (NLC) has been marred with alleged corruption and the Democratic Alliance is calling for his swift replacement so that the work to rooting out corruption in that sector can continue.
