The Democratic Alliance has urged Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza to immediately suspend City Manager Kagiso Lerutla following his arrest. The DA says Lerutla should remain suspended pending investigations, and be dismissed if found guilty. Lerutla appears in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court alongside suspended EMPD Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi, both facing charges of fraud, corruption, and defeating the ends of justice.
