City Power says there has been an overwhelming increase in the activity underground which is the source of the recent outages affecting the Inner City and the surrounding areas. City Power has raised dire concern regarding the growing dangers their technicians face while working in Johannesburg’s underground power tunnels. 

Sergeant Fannie Nkosi has denied being in possession of tender bids documents of the City of Tshwane six months before the tender process was closed. Responding to Madlanga Commission of Inquiry Evidence Leader Matthew Chaskalson, Sergeant Nkosi said he was under the impression that the tender process was closed.
