City of Johannesburg's waste management company casual workers bring 10 out of 12 depots to a halt amid demand for permanent employment

The City of Johannesburg's waste management company PIKITUP says only two of its 12 depots are operational at the moment. This as waste continues to pile up within the City CBD due to non-collection. Casual workers whose contracts with the company are about to expire have been protesting outside the PIKITUP depots since Monday last week to demand permanent jobs.
