Former Minister of Safety and Security Dr Sydney Mufamadi says they still don't know where his brother after he was disappeared by the Apartheid government. Responding to Justice  Khampepe, Dr Mufamadi says he was detained several times without trial by the Apartheid government amongst other things done to his family.

The South African Weather Service says the Orange Level 6 warning issued over the weekend has lapsed, with weather conditions gradually improving across the country. Forecaster Tokelo Chiloane says the severe weather was linked to a cut-off low-pressure system that brought heavy rain, strong winds and damaging conditions to parts of the country. She says some areas recorded more than 50 millimetres of rainfall, particularly in the Northern Cape and parts of Gauteng.
