Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube says education is the foundation of South Africa's prosperity and cannot be the responsibility of government alone. Gwarube, delivered a keynote address at the G20 Business Leaders Luncheon in Cape Town under the theme Partnerships for Education: Building the Future Together. She called for bold, long term partnerships between business, civil society, labour, academia, communities and international allies to expand investment in early learning, improve literacy and numeracy, and create safer schools.
