The Basic Education Laws Amendment (BELA) Act may take some time before it is implemented in schools. Experts say the regulations - that will guide the implementation of the Act - could take a while to be finalised. The Act was signed into law by President Cyril Ramaphosa in September, but some clauses were put on ice for three months for further consultation.  The government of national unity's Clearing House Mechanism handed its report on clauses 4 and 5 which caused contention, to the president last week. It is expected that language and admissions policies of schools will be guided by the regulations of the Act.  Zalene Merrington reports....
