Auditor-General Tsakani Maluleka says the 2024/25 audit outcomes show little overall improvement across provinces. She notes progress in the Eastern Cape, where Health and Education improved to unqualified opinions. However she says, Free State and North West remain among the weakest performers. KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng saw regressions, particularly in Health. Briefing the media, Maluleka highlighted ongoing procurement irregularities and financial mismanagement.
