AfriForum's private prosecutions unit head, Gerrie Nel, says they are prepared to escalate legal action over allegations linked to ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula and his 2016 Dubai family trip which cost over R600-thousand. Nel briefed the media earlier today that AfriForum has exhausted engagements with the National Prosecuting Authority. He says if no decisive action is taken, they will pursue private prosecution.

AfriForum ready to pursue private prosecution.

The African National Congress has rejected what it calls the “Mbalula Dossier” released by AfriForum. The party describes the document not as a genuine pursuit of justice, but as a politically motivated attempt to smear and isolate the Secretary-General, Fikile Mbalula. The party has further said AfriForum has long positioned itself as an opponent of transformation. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to ANC national spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri

Chairperson of the KwaMaphumulo Taxi Association Sphamandla Mhlongo says families and children have been left orphaned by the Cator Manor police assassination of their fathers. Speaking at the Nkabinde Enquiry into Advocate Chuake's Fitness to Hold Office, Mhlongo says Captain Bobby Naicker also played a role in getting illegal statements from the accused in the murders.
