Abathembu King, Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo has ordered schools that were forced to close down due to incidents of extortions in Mthatha, in the Eastern Cape and surroundings to be re-opened. This follows various reports of businesses resorting to closing shop in order to avoid a monthly protection fee that is demanded by local gang rings. In addition, four schools from Mthatha have also become the latest victims of intimidation in this manner.
