Published Aug 17, 2024, 6:08 PM

TJ Houshmandzadeh and Plaxico Burress break down which rookie QBs they’re highest on, if this class can be the best rookie QB class ever, the injury to JJ McCarthy and how it alters the Vikings plans, the Falcons chances to win the NFC South, and the latest on 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk.

This is up on Game.

Man.

TJ.

Wushman is out of LaVar. Arrington has some things to handle.

You know.

LaVar is real big time, so you know, big time people have big time things to do. But we're broadcasting love from the Tireck dot Com Studios. Hold up, let me back up, mister Burris, how are you doing? What would you call it late? Late morning or early afternoon for you?

Late morning?

Okay, well how are you doing? And that's late boarding over there on the East coast? Everything's great.

Man got this morning and went to the store, got a little got some good juice in my system, some some ginger and some beats and all the good stuff. And my son had he had his first inter squot streamers of that to the club. So went over there for a hour and a half and you know, here we are.

I your son transferred high schools? How was that that adjusement?

That's fun?

He didn't transfer, Oh he didn't go Nope, me said he wanted to stay put. And so you know he's back into Paul. Where was that last? Are they gonna run? Are they gonna continue to just run the ball all game? Are they gonna open it up a little bit, man, hopefully it change up just a little bit. But uh, hey man, we're trying to keep him healthy, trying to get through this season. And you know, on to the.

Next chapter that that's the plan to Just for y'all that don't know, Plexico Sun is a is a stud. He's an animal on a football field. Y'all will be seeing him and soon enough time on Saturdays running up and down the field. Yes, what we've been seeing on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Here in the next hour or so are a lot of Roocky quarterbacks are now making their debut and they're playing well. Man, there's so many layers to this question, plex number one, who have you been I who have you been impressed with? Who do you believe needs work? Could this possibly be? And it's so early, but could this possibly be the best Rocky quarterback class ever?

It's tough to say ever because it's only it's only been one game. But obviously where everybody knows about Caleb Williams and you know his journey through college and him supposed to be the next great, you know, young quarterback in this league. And Jamee Dames w man who I really think he was surprised with all the people because I don't believe a lot of people really got to watch him in the last couple of years when he was down at LSU and obviously bringing home to Heusman Trophy. Your name, the Heisman Trophy winner, because you were simply the best player in all of college football, not just at the position. And I watched him play last week Jaydon Dames, first player of the game, like fifty sixty yard bomb down the sideline, drop drop of diamond. I think people are really going to be impressed with him.

Man.

When he you know, he's he's a pocket quarterback, but when he gets out of that pocket, he started running, he's dangerous. I mean, I don't think people really understand and know how athletic and how fast this young man is once he gets on the edge. But you know, everybody's gonna be finding out real soon. So as far as you know, this class being really great. It's unfortunate that JJ McCarthy went down. They put him r with an injury. They just ended up signing with Matt Correll, I believe to come in and get some snaps. So you know that whole whole Minnesota thing was it's JJ McCarthy going to start right now? Is he gonna sit behind Sam Donald? So now you know, with him having an injury, we won't be able to just see him, see and evaluate him until next season. But I'm excited for this quarterback class. We're all excited. We're all trust me, we're all excited in football, even if it's man, you just got to turn it on and and you know, you're just some football. And but yeah, I'm excited about this bunch. But as far as being you know, in that class of being the best quarterback class ever, I think that's kind of a push.

Yeah, it is so far away to say, oh, this is the best quarterback class. But the way they've come in and played in that first preseason game, I mean when when you when you look at it, it's like every rookie quarterback played well. Like not one where you can say Tayler Williams played well, Jay Daniels played well, Michael Pennix played well. JJ McCarthy played well, bow Knicks played well, and so you look at it and you're like, wow, yes, it's the it's the preseason. It is the preseason. And Drake May his first His first preseason game was just okay, but he didn't play a ton of snaps. Second preseason game, Drake May played well. And so again it's early. You go back to the draft with John l Way, I believe it's Jim Kelly and Dan Marino. Obviously, three Hall of famers. It's gonna be back. It's gonna be hard to top that. But more recently, I would say the Joe Burrow Tua justin Herbert, Ah, it's one more, one mores, one more in there, it's one more slipping my mind. That draft class was very very good. I believe it was Jalen Hurts in the second round. That draft class is shown to be very good. But again it is so early to make those comparisons. But if I had to choose, and I'll ask you this one also, if I had to choose going into the season, two quarterbacks that I believe would have the best, best performance, best season, best team success, honestly, it would be Caleb Williams. And maybe this next one will surprise you a bow Knicks. And I say that because the Bears their roster man is quietly, very very good. Like the Bears have a top to bottom complete roster. If Caleb Williams is what many expect him to be. The Bears are fighting for the playoffs. But I've already said I believe they're gonna get in. But they're right there because of defensively, the way they played down the Strets. Offensively, the weapons that Caleb Williams has, and you go to bow knicks. The dude started so many games in college. I believe he has more starts than any quarterback in the history of college football. That experience is going to pay off and it means something. And you're also with the coach that is a great developer of quarterbacks in Sean Payton. So I would say those two in people, why not Jye Daniels. When you have a defensive coach and someone will say, oh, so there's Caleb Williams. But when you have a defensive coach and Dan Quinn with the commanders and as bad as they've been now for so many years, it's is he gonna let Cliff Kingsbury run that offense how he sees fit? Is he gonna, no, no, listen, let's run them out here? Or is he just gonna let the offensive coordinator be the offensive coordinator and not handcuff him, so to speaking. So I don't know that. I don't know that, but I know Ibra Flues knows if Caleb Williams doesn't succeed, I'm gone and Cayleb Williams gonna have a second head coach in his second season. And so, but he understands that he may have to just let Shane Waldron, Kayler Williams and that offensive staff go to work how they see fit. Whereas Quinn, because they drafted Jade Daniels, may have a little rope.

He may get involved.

And so that's why I say those two guys, if you had to pick two, who would your two be?

You know, I have to disagree with you on the Bowl Knicks because for this reason only even though even though Dan Quint defensive mind the head coach he came in and he had Cliff Kingsbury, I believe if he wants to see this team have success, he's going to have to give him the rings to go out and and uh, you know, call the football game called players that he wants and not be Micaro managing and have Cliff Kingsbury looking over his shoulder all the time because Dan Quinn is defensive mind to head coach. Now, if you want to have success with this young man, I'm gonna say because I would take him over bow Knicks because of the talent that he surrounded around Johan Scary Terry.

They bring in Zach Ertz, and you have.

Austin Eckler, who I believe was one of the most underrated running backs over the last five seasons. So when you look at this team offensively, I believe that Washington is equipped just like Caleb Williams is in Chicago with some Rome Adouze and some of the Keenan Allen and Dj Moore. So he has all the talent around him offensively if he wants to throw the football up and down the field. But I'm I'm mus take Jayde and Daniels over bow Nicks. If I was to say who was going to get off to the better start and the rookie season simply because of Jayde Daniels is surrounded by more weapons.

Yeah, I mean it's gonna be some we we all assume Michael Pennock's barn injury to Kirk Cousins, he he won't play much. You never know he looked really good in the preseason Drake May. It looks as if Jacobe Brossett is going to be the starter, but you never know. After the first preseason game, everybody was, oh my god, Joe Milton, a sixth round pick is playing as good or better than the third pick in Drake May. So again, it's so early, but this is our job. We have to we have to look down the road and see, like what could it be? And for the fans of these teams to see the progress and the improvement of the quarterbacks, and it gives you that hope, that excitement of we have we may have something in the future, but who knows. We we do have, we will We will get into the bad news with JJ McCarthy. I mean, you throw a pick first drive and then you just light it up and then bam, season's over. Well we'll talk about that hit, his mental hit, how he needs a stage, just kind of locked in and try to learn. This year, we'll get into man the Atlanta Falcons of current Matthew Judaan and Justin Simmons. The Falcons done got better.

We got that for you lady.

In the show, what's going on with mister hayyuk Man, the ninety b ain't not in camping, Ain't nobody talking about the best player of the team not being there? And Trip Williams. So we'll get into that. What John Lynch and those guys thinking, Tom Brady through Astray at Daniel Jones. We got a lot we'll get into. We'll talk about that later. We'll take a break, We'll be right back.

Hey what's up everybody?

It's me three time pro bowler LeVar Arrington and I couldn't be more excited to announce a podcast called Up on Game?

What is Up on Game?

You ass along with my fellow pro bowler TJ. Huschman, Zada and Super Bowl champion Yup, that's right, Plexico Burris. You can only name a show with that type of talent on it.

Up on Game.

We're going to be sharing our real life experiences loaded with teachable moments. Listen to Up on Game with Me LeVar Arrington, TJ. Huschman, Zada, and Plexico Burrs on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast from.

Welcome back up on Game. We'relying from tarrek dot com Studios. I'm TJ. Houshmazada alongside mister Plexico Burris and as I said before, we went to break so much promise, so much anticipation of what his rookie year would look like, and we didn't even know would he start from the outset, what would he sit X amount of game? We didn't. Nobody knew if JJ McCarthy was going to be the day one starter or if Sam Darner was going to start. What he played, we didn't know that. But what we do know is we won't see him at all his rookie season. He had a meniscus surgery and they announced that he will be out for the for the season, which is a surprise because we know when you have miniscus it's could be the shortest four weeks, six weeks, eight weeks, maybe ten, and I don't believe they wanted the chance, and so they ruled him out for the season, put him on IR so he can regardless of what happens, though doesn't matter if the rehab goes great, he can no longer play this season. What is your take on that? Do you believe there's it's smart for the Vikings. Let's elaborate on the Minnesota Vikings. JJ McCarthy out for the season.

You know what, Uh, I honestly believe that the Minnesota Vikings planned to start JJ McCarthy in opening day. I think they bought in Sam Donald to be a you know, insurance, my little insurance posor Jji McCarthy, because I don't believe that, you know, you really bring Sam Donald to really, you know, lead this football team. I think that you know, Sam Donald, I mean J. J. McCarthy, somebody Sam Donald can learn from being a veteran quarterback, being a journeyman quarterback and you know, and having some success in this league. You don't mean does not forget he was the number one pick. He never really got to that elite level of you know, some of the top two quarterbacks in this league. But you know, he's respected, and you know he's not really just going to go out and you know, uh, he's going to go out and manage football game. So I kind of think this is a step back for the Minnesota Vikings because so you know, now going into the following season, what do you do. Are you going to bring back on Sam Donald? Are you going to try to find another quarterback just in case he's not one hundred percent healthy? And if he is one hundred percent healthy on opening day, you know, how's he going to look? And I just think, you know, for this young group of wide receivers, Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson, it kind of, you know, sets them back also because now they're going to be playing a year with a quarterback and Sam Donald who won't.

Be their quarterback after the season.

So it's a setback for them because even when if j. J. McCarthy does come back, he's a starting quarterback, he's still going to be a rookie. Maybe not so much from a mental standpoint, because he can still learn on the sideline. Sometimes that's the best teacher, you know for young players, being able to sit in and watch and learn. But from a physical standpoint of going out, you know, and making those throws and putting it, putting that ball where you're the only owning the receiver can get it. Are you and Justin Jefferson and at Jordan aatist on the same page. So I think he's still going to be a rookie from a performance standpoint, but the fact that he has two style wide receiver I think that that will help. You know, uh, you know, he'll he'll relate a little quicker, But no doubt about it. Man, it's a setback for the team because this is something that you know, I don't really think that. I mean, obviously nobody foresaw it, but now Stam Dah is going to be an opening day and now you'll start up for the whole season.

Man, I honestly felt like I didn't believe JJ McCarthy would be the opening day start. I felt out of all the ricky quarterbacks, he was probably going to be the most likely to not start. Him and Drake mate just because of the I wouldn't say the lack of experiences, especially with JJ not throwing the ball a ton in college, not having as many past attempts in college as some of the other players. I'm gonna just go out on the limb right now and I'll say Sam Darnald gonna be the comeback player of the year. That's my prediction. I believe. I believe he'll play well enough to be the comeback player of the year.

I believe he'll play well.

Enough to make the Vikings say, wait, hold up, what are we gonna do next season? If you look at Sam Donald's journey, gets drafted third overall to the Jets. The Jets still hadn't found a quarterback. That had't found a quarterback in over a decade. They believe they have that now in Aaron Rodgers, but they were they couldn't draft and develop one. And then he goes to Carolina. He's in Carolina along with Baker Mayfield, who has drafted one in the same draft that Donald was drafting third in. And he actually didn't play bad with the Panthers. He didn't play bad with Matt Rule as a head coach. But the Panthers were a train wreck and some say they still are. We'll see what Dave Canalis can do. I just feel like Sam Donald is a really good player that's been put in terrible situations. And let me not say he's a really good player. I'll say he has the potential to be a really good player. He's just been in terrible situations. He's been in terrible situations with Kevin O'Connell as a head coach that dude is just he's special, man. Kevin O'Connell is a special coach. And I don't even when when you're a really good coach. He's a special teacher, man. He's one one of them coaches that teaches you the game. And I just felt like watching when Kirk Cousins went down last year, he was just able to scheme up some things with the QBS. That shows me, like, man, this dude is really teaching the game to its players. And you know this, plex man, A lot of these coaches many they teach you football, but they really can't make you a better player positional wise, but they'll teach you the game of football. And so I'm excited for Sam Darnold. I think he gonna surprise some people. I really do. And you already spoke on You got Justin Jefferson, who at worst is what number two three receiver in the league depend on depends on what you like in your interpretation of it. You got Jordan Edison, the rookie that came very close to having a thousand yard season.

Is a rookie. I just.

I like Kevin O'Connell, I like Sam Donald and so yeah, I must say come back player of the year. I'm gonna say they're gonna have some decisions to make a year or two if Sam Donald plays the way that I believe he can, and he will, and so this is gonna get really, really injured. Mike McCarthy, I mean Mike McCarthy. JJ McCarthy is a first round pick, so we know he's a quarterback of the future. But if Sam Donald plays well, they'll just have to keep hitting paulse Okay, pause, JJ McCarthy, you won't play year or two? All right, pauls you want that may be the case.

Yeah, this is why I say that this was the Minnesota Vikings plans to start him because last year when he was in college man he only had one three hundred passing yarall game. I don't think he had he didn't think he had forty attempts and in a football game, what did the complete ten eight to ten passes in a national championship game. They basically used him. The running game was was his best friend when he was in Michigan, he was in college. So that's why I say they wanted to get him in, you know, get him some experience, get him some reps. So they can you know, evaluate him now as will he be our quarterback of the future. So that's why I say him losing this first season it really sets them back and him back because he already didn't have the experience as far as you know, throwing the football in college like Bo Knicks and you know, Jade and Daniels and Kayleb Williams, like those guys were throwing the ball, you know, forty five fifty times a game.

He didn't have that.

So he needs all the experience he can get from a playing standpoint, But he can still learn. But I just think it's a setback, you know, for him and his team, you know, not being available until next season because he's just he just doesn't he just doesn't have a lot enough experience.

Yeah, that one hundred percent. He needs the past attempts. He needs to be able to get out there. But I truly believe sitting on the sideline is always a good thing if that time on the sideline is used wisely. Learn from the mistakes, you learn from the positive plays. Learn, right, that's the biggest kid, but TJ. But you're saying the meniscus and you know him, Yeah, but it's it's not an ACL I know.

That's what I'm saying.

So even if he can miss ten, twelve weeks, thirteen weeks, if he can get out there for those last five or six, I think it helps them.

But for him, they put him on IR. So when they put you on IR in training camp, you're done for the season. They would have to have waited. I know that done.

So it has to be really bad Meniscus, because I've had guys and quarterbacks who have played through them. Obviously it's not you know, it's not. He doesn't feel good, but you know, from a quarterbacks, then I guess the good way he plays a game. He's a runner. He's a runner first, you know. I really believe from from that standpoint. But to miss the whole season from Meniscus.

Yeah, it's our I just believe he's young, he's the rookie that they don't want a chance any further Diamond, so I we'll just put him on IR. That's all I believe to be the case. I like, JJ's a good dude. I believe he's gonna be a really good player. This is gonna, actually, I believe, make him a better player just because he's going to learn. He's a smart dude. Wish he nothing but the best. But now we got to talk to our main guy. Get some updates. I love miss the Isaac Lowing crime. What you got for us.

Twell Fellas. Today's NFL preseason action is already underweigh in Baltimore, Young Way Coup. The Atlanta Falcon just kicked a fifty four yard field goal, so they've got a three to nothing lead over the Ravens at the two to twenty one mark of the first quarter. Taylor Heineke start a good quarterback today, by the way for Atlanta. Two more games kickoff at the top of the hour at Soldier Field. Caleb Williams once again gets the started quarterback board the Chicago Bears as they play host to the Cincinnati Bengals, and the New York Giants will be visiting the Houston Texans, with Daniel Jones set to play today for the Giants for the first time since tearing his acl of his right knee last November. Today's Major League Baseball action gets underway at the top of the hour at what oh five Eastern. The Pirates will play host to the Mariners. Yesterday Pittsburgh broke a ten game losing streak with a five to three win over Seattle. Then at one ten Eastern, the Yankees will be at Detroit with Aaron Judge hitting third in the Yankee lineup today. Yesterday, Judge hit his major league leading forty fourth home run in a three nothing Yankees victory. Fellas back to you.

Alo just told us about the Ravens and the Falcons, and let's stay with the Falcons. I don't know about you, Plex, but they have gotten better. You get Judon, who's for sure he gonna give you ten twelve sacks of He's healthy And how the hell was justin Simmons still a free agent and we mid August. I really really like the Falcons adding Judon and Simmons. Judon in the trade with the Patriots. Simmons is the free agent man. I got them, I got I got the Falcons win in that division. Now, I really do. And it wasn't like the division was tough to begin with. I think the Falcons Raheem Morris said, hey, man, check this out my first go as a head coach.

Man, I didn't.

I didn't do the things that I wanted to do. I didn't this dude right out the gate. It's salt. They went, the Falcons winning the vision. Man with what Jude and uh Justin Simmons.

I really like the moves your thoughts, I believe so, I mean, I really do. That's one of the achilles heels that's been for the Atlanta Falcons probably over the last decade, is that defensively they couldn't stop anybody. They could they could score some points, and you know, they played well at home.

They play well indoors.

But for this division, which is really it's the worst division in football.

Let's just call it that.

Between the Carolina Panthers, they'll probably come in last.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and now the Saints.

And the Saints you could say that either one or three of those teams win in this division. But now that you add judon defensive and you add Simmons, now you're talking about a team back and you can put out on the field on Sundays and compete, and I think they are going to win the division. I think Kirk Cousins is going to come in there. He's gonna play well. I don't think he's going to be, you know, great. I think he's going to play well enough in his first year in this offense under raheem not turn the football over trying to find a way to get you know, Kyle Pitchs more involved in his offense and also b John Robinsons. If you can get the ball to him at least fifteen twenty times a game, I think you have an elite, you know, offense. He can make this offense that great because I believe he's kind of a carbon copy of what Christian McCafferty is. If you really want to, you know, you know, get the ball in this young man's hands. So I think with the additions, I think for flat out that the that the Falcons win the division. But now it's just you know, how good can they be? And I think you know, right now, moving forward, I think everybody's going to be asking the same question, how is Kirk Cousins going to play? What's going to happen if he doesn't play well? Not being as you drafting Michael Pennick Jr. He's sitting there. You know he can come out, he can come in and play. And with this defense, I don't believe those offenses in the in that NFC South Division are really that explosive. So I got to tip my head to the Falcons and win the NFC South. Now, yeah, I like the Falcons as well. And Kirk Cousins has never been the mobile quarterback. Kirk Cousins is using his head in his arm and letting his playmakers make plays.

I believe he'll be fine coming off the killing. I believe Kyle Pitts will get back to what he was as a rookie. I believe Drake London will now show why he was a top ten pick. B John Robinson will show why he was a top ten pick. Those are three skilled guys that the Falcons drafted in the top ten and so offensively, we felt like with kirk Cousins, they were going to be good, but they were going to have to outscore people. Now you add the pass rusher because when they drafted Pinnis, and if kirk Cousin goes down, okay, we got our first round draft pick, Michael Pennix, who is older, who played a ton of snaps at Indiana and Washington in college, so he'll be ready to go if need be. They when they drafted Michael Pennix, everybody said, oh, what are the Falcons doing. They should have drafted a ad rusher. They should have drafted Dallas Turner, they should have drafted Leaota. To every they got their head rusher. Now approven as rusher and oh he's thirty one man. Listen, man, you give me ten to twelve sacks. You can be forty one. I don't care how sacks. Judon get me. And now, if you you have Justin Simmons and Jesse Bates in the back of your defense, that's the best safety combo in the National Football League. You have aj Terrell's a corner, one of the better corners in the league. So you have an ad rusher that's gonna get pressure, and if they're gonna have to double them, you have that back end in the secondary of guys that can really play. The Falcons have gotten better by making two moves that we could almost say everybody in the National Football League could have made these deals. The Simmons was a free agent, Judon was available in the trade. I like what the Falcons are doing. I really they're gonna run away with this division. Bro unless unless the Bucks Baker Mayfield improve a ton. I could see New Orleans presenting a problem if Carr is the car that we saw with the Raiders. Because defensively, with Dennis Allen and that defense, Cam Jordan and them boys, they're gonna present problems. They've always been a really good defensive team. Last year they just kind of faltered on both sides of the ball. But I like the Falcons to run away with this and it's gonna be.

It's gonna be.

This is always a couple teams every season where they come from. Oh they weren't in the playoffs, and I believe the Falcons and the Chicago Bears, and it may be it may be another one, but those will be teams that weren't in the playoffs last year. That may surprise some people getting the playoffs this year, but again we both believe the Falcons now are gonna win that division, and so I just look forward to seeing how this is gonna happen. Like once the preseason starts out. Now I'm ready now for the regular season, like I'm ready. I'm glad it's three games because now it just starts to come. It comes a little sooner, it comes a little sooner. So yeah, we're gonna get into that as the season goes on the playoffs. This team, that team, I know one thing that John Lynch forty nine Ers, Brandon Aiyuki representation. They need to, you know, have a little sense of urgency. And John said, you know the team does for the urgency to get an AUK deal done. We'll talk about that. On the other side of this break, that's Plexico Burrus. I'm t J. Hushman Zada, Fox Sports. Ready up on game. We'll be right back. Welcome back in to up on game. We're lying from the tarreg dot Com studios. I'm TJ. Huschman Zada alongside Plexico Burs and before the break we spoke on forty nine Ers general manager John Lynch. He says the team feels a sense of urgency to get the Brandon Ayuk deal done. Man, it seems like it's this is like a soap opera for real. It's been so many twists and turns. And he's traded, he isn't traded. He's traded. Oh he's staying. What do you believe will happen?

I really don't know, man, at this point. I mean obviously obviously you know he's not happy with this current situation. And you don't have the best left tackle on the football in camp either. It just looks like it just looks like they're just mismanaging, you know, this team right now far as when it comes to contracts, knowing that where these these nowadays, these guys have more leverage than we had when we were playing because they can pretty much just come out voice their opinion or if they do, if they they're unhappy or the scrunngled or whatever the case may be. And brand now you can play on any football team in this league. So it's not like he's not going to have, you know, teams that are not one to one a wide receiver who can give you thirteen fourteen hundred yards average eighteen nineteen yards a catch. So I really believe that the fort nine ers need him on this team if they want to continue their quest to get to a World Championship. But without Trent Wiitness, I don't think you can get there anyway. So you gotta find a way to figure out how you're going to get you know, these guys taken care of and paid because.

It's not going anywhere.

I mean, you can let the days keep piling up as far as these guys not being in the camp, but the number and the contracts that these guys basically are to be afforded, the number is not going to change. So I don't know what you're waiting for, Johan Lynch and the team, but man, you're gonna have to crack open the check book and get these young men paid if you want their services.

How much would you give AYUK per year ap Y average per year? What what would you what would it be? The top of the market is Justin Jefferson at thirty five. I believe number two is aj Brown at thirty thirty two. I'm and Ross Saint Brown at thirty, treek Kill at thirty. Those are the top four where would you what would you give Ayuk.

I think that he's in that twenty nine to thirty range. I believe he's a you know, top five or six wide receiver. With the production that he puts out on his offense, I think he meets I think that he's a you know, he means a lot more to this offense. Then people don't really understand because I mean, this young man get down the football field. I mean, if you're brought Perity and you're on a single hot situation, there's not too many players on the other side that's going.

To stop him.

So I kind of think that he's a part of the plan for brought Perry to get better. But the number is thirty million dollars, and I think he knows that they understand that they don't want to pay him a thirty million dollars, But that's going to be a number moving forward, and it's even going to be hired. You might as well give him a thirty because after this season, that's what the franchise tack is. Numbers going to be anyway with the contract with these guys have signed justin, Jefferson in and Tyree Hill just got paid again, So the numbers going to be thirty million dollars in so you might as well just get used to it.

Yeah, I just feel like it's what you said, we all talking about, ay you got you got you? What's going on? That monster that lines up on the left side that where's number seventy one? They gotta get trip Williams in the camp. True Williams has three years left on this deal. All they gotta do is guarantee the next two seasons. They not cutting them this year or next year, just guarantee the next two seasons.

Yeah.

Like that just seems so simple to me, but maybe it isn't also simple when you talk Ayuk, this has been going on so long. I don't understand why teams they like to sting string things on and just drag it out, drag it out, drag it out. When you know other teams are willing to give him millions more, not not a million, not five hundred millions, one two, three, four, five million more per year than what you're willing to offer. That's crazy because over the course of two years that's ten million dollar difference. Over the course of three years, it's obviously a fifteen million dollar difference, and he's willing to take less to play with you, and you're not even gonna give him what another team is willing to offer him. And he's not even saying, give me what another team is willing off for me. I just want to come close.

And so.

I believe.

By tomorrow, by Monday, if they don't have a deal done with the Niners, I believe he'll be traded. I really do think it's just been too much back and forth. It's too much back and forth. It comes after a while it's like, I'm not gonna keep going back and forth with you. I'm not gonna keep going back and forth with you.

This is it.

And so I believe his best situation is with the San Francisco forty nine ers. I do they need him as much as he needs them. Because when it's a man and man situation, who the Niners going to in that they going to be a They're not going to Kittle McCaffrey. They're going to Brandon Nyuk because he can win in one on one situations. And so the forty nine Ers are a better team with him. When you have a Super Bowl window, you do not get rid of your better players. Over a million dollars per year. You don't do it. That's just that business. You just don't do it. And he's still taking their pay cut. And that's just because when you give him permission to seek a trade, he kind of has an idea of what other teams are gonna pay him. And these other teams are paying him a lot more than the Niners are offering them. And so yeah, I believe all the back and forth must stop. They'll figure it out, but they must figure it out with him, and they better figure it out with Trent Williams, because if Trent Williams ain't there, brock good luck. So yeah, man, we'll see what happens. First hour went by that fast. We'll be right back for the second hour up on Game Fox Sports Radio. Shortly after the show, our podcast.
