In this episode of Untidy we talk to Vedic Meditation teacher, Georgia Vavasour. Georgia has taught both Matilda and Hannah to meditate with this ancient technique. They discuss what Vedic Meditation is, how it’s a game changer for mums, the Vedic perspective on motherhood, along with their own personal journeys with meditation.
Georgia initially discovered this technique after suffering several long-term health conditions – depression, chronic fatigue, digestive issues, and ultimately, bowel cancer. She was on an endless search to ‘feel better’, have some energy, and to finally feel a true sense of contentment and joy. Georgia explains to the girls how the ‘mother’ is viewed through the lens of the Veda, and it is a refreshing take compared to feeling like you’re sometimes, ‘just a mum’. Spoiler alert: she’s viewed as a queen, as she bloody well should!
