Because when all the planning is done and you've left the hospital for the last time, nobody can really prepare you for waking up the next morning and knowing the person who has been part of your life since the day you were born, is suddenly gone.

Sally's dad had chest pains, so she drove him across town... to the wrong hospital, because he wanted the nicer one. Then she ended up with actual poop on her hands walking the family dogs. Cath did a full CSI-style deep clean before a friend came to stay, and Ginni confessed she is, unsettlingly, guest-ready at all times, no cleaning frenzy required. Dr Ginni has six days left with her mum before she passes away.

As Unleashers would know, Ginni’s mum is very ill and has been for a long time. She has made the decision to choose voluntary assisted dying.
