MUSA HLATSHWAYO’S BIOGRAPHY


Musa Hlatshwayo was born and raised in Maphumulo (KwaZulu Natal). He is a
multi-award-winning choreographer, performer, educator, voice artist with
experience in the performing arts and community development.


After completing his junior degree, he received an opportunity to go and train
at the Copenhagen School of Modern Dance before returning to UKZN where
he then received his BA Honours in the Drama and Performance Studies
Department. He also holds a Dance in Education postgraduate certificate from
the University of KwaZulu Natal which he completed while working as one of
the founding members of Flatfoot Dance Company and a tutor at the UKZN.
He has worked with an extensive list of independent theatre directors,
choreographers and producers.
