Episode 8: Rosie Popa
It was not a given that Rosie Popa would follow in her parents’ footsteps as an Olympic rower, but as the universe would have it, she loved the sport so much her destiny would be so. And it was this family connection and support that helped her all the way to the top of her game, even when the chips were down, and her Olympic dream looked like it was slipping from view. Through the challenges Rosie has faced over the years, her self-belief, ability to roll with the punches, grit and determination, and resourcefulness in training in the most unorthodox of conditions, paved the way for her to bring home not only a gold medal, but a whole new love and understanding for who she is.
