Anecdotal evidence suggests that Christmas beetle numbers are in decline, but unfortunately without scientific evidence it's hard to know for certain. The University of Sydney's Dr Tanya Lutty is an entomologist and head of Invertebrates Australia. We caught up with her to talk all things Christmas beetles, about about the new conservation project 'The Christmas Beetle Count' which hopes to gather long term population data on one of Australia's most iconic bugs.
