Climate change is an ongoing topic. Though we have previously touched on the effects of climate change on the environment, the effects of climate change on mental health are not talked about as often.

Associate Professor Amy Lykins joins us in the studio to discuss the concept of ecogrief, how climate change is affecting the mental health of communities who have ancestral and cultural connections to the land, particularly in Fiji.

The University of Sydney's Dr Tanya Lutty is an entomologist and head of Invertebrates Australia. We caught up with her to talk all things Christmas beetles, about about the new conservation project 'The Christmas Beetle Count' which hopes to gather long term population data on one of Australia's most iconic bugs.

Led by Associate Professor Bradley Evans, Koalas in the Landscape aims to predict what koala habitats will be like in the future, and how their habitats are affected by climate change. We caught up with Brad and Dr Karl Vernes who is working with him on the project, to discuss the goals and hopeful outcome.

Dr. McMillan has completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a PhD through UNE and has done some terrific work and research regarding climate change and climate activism. Ben and Dr. McMillan discuss the climate emergency, the climate strikes, and much more in this important segment.
