Dune Rats have teamed with with Toohey's for not only a catchy rendition of their theme song, but a tour to help support regional venues across NSW.

The band has teamed up with Lion Australia to launch the Tooheys on Tour campaign to celebrate live music in three iconic NSW venues, featuring ARIA-nominated band Dune Rats. The tour, starting January 25th, includes three concerts where Dune Rats will headline and perform a rock reimagining of Tooheys' famous jingle. Frontman Danny Beusaraus and bassist Brett Jansch expressed their long-time connection to the brand, with a shared love for enjoying Tooheys before and after gigs

More than four decades after its release, Sounds Of Then has once again captured the hearts of Australians, proving its enduring legacy as one of the most iconic songs in Australian music. Cal reflects on the unlikely, almost mystical origins of the track—written quickly, instinctively, and recorded on an early 8-track recorder in Kirribilli in 1982.

In a remarkable full-circle moment, Cal shares that he is now house-sitting in the very same Sydney location where the demo was first recorded, looking out at the same block of flats that inspired a song which would go on to define a generation.
