Karen and Ryan Fowler were told their 16 month old son, Rio, would need to be placed in palliative care in 2017. They lost their son after 5 major surgeries, including 2 amputations, kidney (renal) failure, heart impairment and failure and consistently high blood pressure readings but it was Bear Cottage that made this experience a little less horrible than it could have been.
