Do you think that high school seniors are getting more conservative or more liberal? Well, it's complicated.  Timmerie tells you about a long-standing survey called "Monitoring the Future" that examines the political beliefs of high school seniors and their potential implications. The most recent survey indicates that high school boys are twice as likely to identify as conservative compared to liberal. Conversely, high school girls are twice as likely to lean towards liberalism. Timmerie notes that this trend is more pronounced among young women after the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, leading to increased radicalization on issues like abortion and feminism. As young women become more radicalized, some men are also shifting towards conservative values. However, Timmerie expresses concern about a potential negative aspect, where some young boys might be adopting a "ticked off conservative mindset" as a reaction to perceived societal injustices, possibly leading to feeling hurt, angry, and defensive.  So, what can we learn and how should we respond? Should we encourage young men to give into the bitterness? Not exactly. Special Podcast Highlight - Listener Discretion Advised Check out this interview with a mother named Erin Friday who shares her experience with her daughter's transgender identity. Erin explains that her daughter was indoctrinated in her public school to believe she was born in the wrong body. The daughter went through various identities and eventually identified as transgender after spending time online and discovering transgenderism. Erin criticizes the education system for encouraging an existential crisis in children and promoting the idea that discomfort with one's body means they should be transgender. Erin mentions that her daughter is now comfortable in her female body and no longer identifies as transgender. However, she believes her daughter may not fully understand the "evil forces" and ideology behind transgenderism. They discuss the influences that impacted her daughter, including the public school system, social media, pornography, and anime. Erin warns about the dangers of anime, which can lead to exposure to cartoon pornography and put children at risk of being targeted by pedophiles. Erin recommends alternatives to smartphones, such as flip phones, and emphasizes the need for parents to have access to their child's devices and regularly check them.
