If we look around us for what we need, then we look at the agents of the provision.  But when we look up, we look to the source, which is God.  And He wants us to look at Him.  Therefore, He’s going to make sure that your family can’t help you, that your bank account can’t help you, and that your job can’t help you.  God does all of that because sometimes, the only time we’ll look up to see Him as our source of everything, is when we’re lying flat on our backs in desperation.
