Scott Simon is a happiness entrepreneur and the Founder of the Scare Your Soul movement. A sought-after speaker, Scott co-founded Thrive, a “happiness incubator” for which he delivered a TEDx Talk in 2013 before he launched Scare Your Soul in 2016. He is a meditation leader and high-performance life coach who focuses on creating flourishing lives after major changes. Scott received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Skidmore College and completed his Master of Arts degree at Case Western Reserve University. He also holds certificates in Positive Psychology and Coaching from the Wholebeing Institute. His book, Scare Your Soul: 7 Powerful Principles to Harness Fear and Lead Your Most Courageous Life, will be launched on December 06, 2022.

Scott joins me today to discuss what it means to scare your soul and how we can harness our fears to live freely and courageously. He outlines his process for identifying fear and dealing with it in an intentional, thoughtful way and explains why we create comfort bubbles. He describes how he was silenced as a child and how he took back his power and freedom in his adult life by scaring his soul.
