Icelandic poet and historian Kristín Svava Tómasdóttir has published four books of poetry, of which the latest, Hetjusögur has been awarded the Icelandic Women´s Prize for Fiction. She has also written books and articles on cultural history and the history of sexuality, women and gender in Iceland. In this episode, host Elizabeth Torres speaks with her about translation, her latest books in various languages, and combining poetry with history, as well as teaching creative writing.
