The antisemitic riots at Columbia and Yale should be a wake-up call for Americans. It’s just more evidence that when it comes to our elite universities, the emperor has no clothes.

Student radicals pitch tents—and fits—at elite academies that once were the envy of the world. They’re the lucky few, out of mountains of accomplished, well-rounded, hardworking applicants who would have welcomed the chance to learn, rather than agitate.

But the universities hand-selected these radicals. It’s an important reminder that places like Columbia and Yale no longer deserve the deference they’ve long been accorded.

And it’s another reason to resist Joe Biden’s efforts at loan forgiveness. The universities accepted these students and created hotbeds of antisemitic and anti-American hatred. Let a tax on their overstuffed endowments pay down the student debt—and fix at least one of the problems they’ve created.
