The assassin of two Israeli embassy workers at the Jewish Museum in Washington, DC was an active member of the Party of Socialism and Liberation. When arrested, he shouted “Free Palestine, Free Palestine!”—the same chant we’ve heard from left wingers and socialists on our college campuses.
It shouldn’t be surprising: the Palestinian cause has always been yoked to violent Jew hatred in the name of socialism and communism. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem worked with Hitler and his National Socialist party to—as his troops would shout in the 1930s and 40s, “itbach al yihud”—“slaughter the Jew.”
Later, Nikita Khruschev united the anti-Israel cause with communist liberation movements and, at the UN, redefined terrorism to mean justified liberation.
The USSR created and trained the PLO and Yasser Arafat, and the PLO housed other communist groups all while working with the Red Army Faction in Germany. When students on our campuses shout “Free Palestine!” as the murderer did in Washington, DC—they might as well be yelling Seig Heil or shouting Allahu Akbar…
It's all homicidal ideation and ideology.
