Israel was blessed to have Harry Truman in the White House when the U.N. voted on the Jewish state receiving international recognition in 1949—a year after Israel declared its independence. Truman successfully lobbied other countries hard to go along with American and recognize Israel.
Our next president may be as crucial to Israel’s future as was Truman to its past. Donald Trump has always supported Israel. As president, he moved our embassy to Jerusalem, he turned the Mideast upside down with the Abraham Accords, and he okayed the annexation of the Golan Heights. If Trump returns, he’ll quickly return to the work of peace through strength by supporting Israel in its war with Iran.
Kamala Harris, by contrast, speaks about Israel’s right to defend itself from attack but not its right to win wars launched against it. Harris—even more than the appeasers of Iran in Biden and Obama—will not have Israel’s back, and will be the least supportive American president of the Jewish State, ever.
American supporters of Israel should support Trump this election season.
