It really has gotten out of control: Every federal district court judge effectively wields a veto over the president’s agenda. Here’s how it works: The left finds friendly judges and persuades them to place a nationwide injunction on a Trump policy. With that, the people’s will —expressed in the last election—is thwarted by an unelected judge.

The injunctions have been sweeping and varied. In the last week, courts have stopped firings at federal agencies and prevented the removal of illegal aliens whenever a habeas corpus petition is filed.

In Trump’s first term, the number of nationwide injunctions was 450 percent greater than in Obama’s total presidency. Now they’re on course to exceed that number in the first year of Trump’s second term. 

It’s long past time for the Supreme Court to shut this nonsense down — for democracy’s sake.
