The Department of Health and Human Services has released a groundbreaking new report on the dangers of mixing gender, ideology, and medical practice for children and teens.

The report was commissioned, and it came out last Thursday. It's over 400 pages long.

But the bottom line is this. The Trump White House ordered the inquiry into and the evaluation of available data on what's called pediatric gender dysphoria treatments, most importantly, hormonal and medical treatments for children and teenagers.

You understand what's at stake

From a Christian perspective. It turns out to be more important in moral terms than the report itself. I want to say that it's very consistent with the affirmation of creation order, what you might call this basic moral sanity.

The report is just one more piece underlining what's been clear to so many who've been watching this closely. When it comes to the transgender issue, the basic battle is ideological, not medical.

And for the Trump administration's recognition of that, we should be grateful.
