The Supreme Court of Tasmania, the oldest court in the Australia, celebrates it's bicentenary on May 10, 2024. It was one of the first institutions established in the then penal colony of Van Dieman’s Land and officially opened for business in 1824 then known as the Supreme Court of Van Diemen’s Land. 

The court currently sits on Hobart's iconic Salamanca Place. It's magnificent buildings were meticulously designed by renowned architect Peter Partridge. In this episode, Peter, takes host and former registrar, Jim Connolly through the five principles which formed the framework for his acclaimed design.
