Author Irene Levy (rhymes with our sponsor Bryner Chevy :)) Baker takes us on a tour of Philadelphia with the newly-updated 100 Things To Do In Philadelphia Before You Die. Originally written in 2016, this update--while not titled particularly 2020/COVID-friendly--covers a wide variety of Philadelphia & surrounding area spots to enjoy. Major sections include Food & Drink, Music & Entertainment, Sports & Recreation, Culture & History, and Shopping & Fashion.
With addresses, phone numbers and websites, as well as tips to consider, this book is designed to serve as a guide folks can "check through" whether in conjunction with a "stay-cation," group outings, and more, including those looking for ideas how to support the local economy.
Irene Levy Baker spent many years working at the Convention & Visitors Bureau and started a PR firm specializing in restaurants & hospitality. Much of the knowledge in her book comes from those years. She is glad to autograph any copies WFIL listeners pick up through her website (www.100ThingsToDoInPhiladelphia.com). Baker joined the TDS a couple years ago when she released another book entitled Unique Eats & Eateries. You can find her on Twitter at @SpotlightPR and @100Philly.
