6:05 — Bailee Lynn Rios, the Simi Valley woman charged in Tuesday's Metro bus crash in Chatsworth, arrived at Superior Court in San Fernando by ambulance and was wheeled in on a gurney, but never appeared before the judge. She faces murder, DUI and reckless-driving charges; bail is $4.03 million. A new video shows her bloodied in the wrecked SUV moments after impact. Investigators say they found hard drugs in her car, and a family friend says addiction had taken over her life in recent years. Also: a heartbreaking week for L.A. and for this news community. 

6:20 — A new study in Scientific Data puts Greenland and Antarctica's ice loss at 12.5 trillion tons since the 1970s, and here's the part nobody expects: roughly five-sixths of it came from warm ocean water eating the glaciers from underneath, not from sunshine melting the top. Meanwhile, the ocean took a bite out of Nicolas Cage's Malibu house — a 30-by-30-foot sinkhole swallowed the driveway, triggered a gas leak, and got five oceanfront homes red-tagged. 

6:35 — George Marciniw, the pilot killed in the NBC4 news helicopter crash, was Burbank High class of '74 and never really left the neighborhood — the Blue Room knew him. A longtime colleague says he "flew that helicopter just like a feather." 

6:50 — An installer on a GFiber job in Irvine asked a customer to hand over her phone to "test the Wi-Fi," then texted an explicit video from it to himself, police say. Logan Edward Gray-McCannon, 37, of Hemet is charged with commercial burglary, unauthorized computer access and sharing a private sexual image — and Irvine PD believes there are more victims. Plus, the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and the foldable iPhone Duo hit stores today.
