The loneliness epidemic is tied to our excessive cellphone, social media use and the breakdown of the family. It’s also killed the concept of the high school reunion. Apparently 54% of American adults are feeling isolated and lack a social circle. Remote work and online shopping are allegedly part of the problem, but is it really? Tim recounts the time he made a friend at the Goodwill and took him to Santa Anita racetrack. It did not end well.
