Hour 3 (09.29) Six Flags Magic Mountain permanently shuts down its iconic X2 roller coaster, while a fake AI-generated snake photo spreads fast enough to fool multiple local news outlets. Plus, Tim wonders how a homeless encampment ended up on top of a Metro train.

8:05 — Tim provides an update on Hurricane Polo, which made landfall in Mexico and brought flooding, power outages, and dangerous conditions to parts of Baja California Sur. He also discusses Los Angeles County's new $18 million Maritime Public Safety Dock in Marina del Rey, built to replace an aging facility from the 1960s.

8:20 — A homeless encampment was discovered on top of a Metro train, prompting Tim to question the state of homelessness in Los Angeles and where billions in public spending have gone. The crew reacts to the latest example of how widespread the crisis has become.

8:35 — A woman accused of firing multiple rounds at Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's home has been ruled mentally competent to stand trial. Tim also covers the permanent closure of Six Flags Magic Mountain's X2 roller coaster following years of injury allegations, lawsuits, and mounting scrutiny surrounding the ride.

8:50 — A fake AI-generated image of a venomous snake spreads across social media and is picked up by several local news outlets before questions emerge about its authenticity. Tim discusses how increasingly realistic AI images are making it harder to separate fact from fiction.
