Hour 1 (10.01) 125 speed cameras start coming online across LA by Halloween. Warnings come first, then tickets for 11+ mph over. Plus: a Sherman Oaks bar open since 1978 gets 60 days to leave, while In-N-Out stays.

6:05 A shooting in West Hollywood near Sunset Blvd and Holloway Dr. The victim was inside a Ferrari SUV, and the LA County Sheriff's West Hollywood Station is investigating. Also: an Extreme Heat Warning runs Friday through next Thursday, with triple digits in the valleys.

6:20 Playoff prop bets as the Dodgers, the NL's top seed, open the Division Series at home Saturday. Plus another shooting investigation, this one in Mar Vista.

6:35 Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill has been on Van Nuys Blvd since 1978. Now owner Angela Marsden has been told to leave for the Sherman Oaks Square redevelopment, while the In-N-Out in the same plaza stays. The bar's Legacy Business status gives it no legal protection.

6:50 LA's 125 speed cameras were supposed to go in over the spring and summer. Contract delays pushed them to fall. Fines start at $50 for 11–15 mph over and go up to $500 for 100+ mph. Tickets don't affect your license points or insurance.
