Hour 4 (11.05)  Dean Sharp says fall is the best time to prune most trees, and his backyard owl has become an unexpected houseguest. Plus, Tim reacts to the Los Angeles mayoral upset, introduces his new dog, Fat Ernie, and breaks down a frightening helicopter close call over Echo Park.

9:05
Tim reluctantly dives into politics after Nithya Raman defeated Karen Bass in the Los Angeles mayoral race. He reacts to Raman's praise for Bass during her victory remarks, questions the sincerity, and says Bass would make a natural radio host.

9:20
Tim announces the newest member of his family, Fat Ernie. He also discusses the near midair collision over Echo Park, where a Los Angeles Police Department helicopter took evasive action after a close encounter with a U.S. Navy helicopter.

9:35
Dean Sharp, the House Whisperer, joins Tim to talk about the owl that's made a home in his tree. Sharp explains why homeowners should embrace healthy, natural vegetation and offers practical advice for maintaining mature trees without over-trimming them.

9:50
Dean sticks around for a deeper dive into seasonal tree care. He shares his recommendations for planting and pruning, explains why autumn is ideal for many tree-maintenance projects, and offers guidance for homeowners preparing their landscapes for fall.
