Angel City FC CEO Amy Taylor on Women’s Sport

Hour 2 (10.30) Angel City FC CEO Amy Taylor on building LA’s women’s soccer powerhouse. Plus, club owner Bob Iger’s $12.5B Lakers deal, and the “forever cruise” that ran out of money.

7:05 Amy Taylor joins us. She took over as CEO of Angel City FC this summer after running Zevia and spending more than 20 years at Red Bull, where she rose to President and Chief Marketing Officer for North America. She’s been named a WISE Inspirational Woman of the Year, and she talks about where women’s sports go from here.

7:20 In-N-Out CEO Lynsi Snyder hints that more states are on the way as the chain pushes east from Texas. Plus, the “cruise for life” that stranded about 200 residents in Cambodia when its operator ran out of money.

7:35 What was Halloween like when you were a kid? Decorating, and staying out with friends until the candy ran out. North Korean hackers are stealing crypto faster than investigators can track it. And the Lakers are being sold for the second time in about a year, to Josh Kushner and Bob Iger, at a record $12.5 billion.

7:50 An escape artist called Houdini II hangs upside down in a straitjacket from a crane about nine stories above Hollywood’s Magic Castle, with no airbag below, to mark 100 years since Harry Houdini’s death on Halloween 1926.
