The Greater Giyani Municipality Mayor Councillor Thandi Zitha led the Easter Road Safety campaign, targeting hotspots with high congestion prospect. The campaign has led to the impoundment of more than six vehicles, mostly mini-buses, for failing to comply with road safety requirements, such as overloading, expired license discs, and invalid roadworthiness certificates. Mayor Councillor Thandi Zitha continues to appeal to road users to observe road safety initiatives during and after the Easter holidays.
