Maswanganyi Primary School was set  to close today(10-03-2026) due to community concerns. There were reports that the principal and all staff members at Maswanganyi Primary School will be withdrawn and required to report to the Circuit Office from this morning until further notice. This follows the community demands for the immediate removal of the school principal and the the immediate disbandment of the SGB.

INTRO: South Africa has recorded positive economic activity in the fourth quarter of 2025 increasing by zero-point-four percent, following a zero-point-five percent increase third quarter of last year. The latest GDP data released by Stats SA was largely in line with analysts expectations. Full-year growth for the economy expanded at a faster pace, growing by one-point-one percent last year compared with zero-point-five percent in 2024. Meanwhile industries such as agriculture, finance and personal services grew positively while manufacturing and electricity, gas and water grew in the negative.
