INTRO: Swindled out of 20 thousand rand - a Limpopo mining company say the law must take its course. Allegedly, the company got scammed by the 23-year-old, Setlabo Thaba, who also used the name "Lesedi,". Thaba used the SABC's Thobela FM Sport Show to solicit donations under false pretenses. He requested financial assistance from the public- claiming to be scouted by the Italian football club, AC Milan, and needed funds to travel in August, last year. Several people in and around Polokwane, along with a mining company, donated money in what they believed was a legitimate cause. However, they later discovered that the claims were false and subsequently opened a case against Thaba.
