INTRO: Private investigator Paul O'Sullivan has described the conduct of the police during his arrest in 2016 as similar to apartheid police. O'Sullivan was testifying before the Ad Hoc committee investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the justice system. The allegations were made the by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Liuetenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi last year in July. O'Sullivan told the committee that the police lost their appeal case against him because the court found that his conduct in fighting crime was not unlawful.
