|INTRO:
Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Higher Education, says it is not the first time that it's heard of racist methods in mark allocations at the University of Cape Town(UCT). This was in reaction to the allegations by the university's former Head of Department Professor Ndangwa Noyoo, who was named as a whistle blower, after an affidavit he penned to the department of higher education and training, and the presidency. He accused UCT's faculty of social development of allegedly awarding higher marks to white students while penalising black students.
